Below is a recent submission I made to the Ethereum DevCon One conference to be held in London on Nov. 9-13.  I will be defining the founding principles of the movement and revealing several objectives we have over the coming months.  I will post the slide pack as soon as it is finished.
Title of presentation:  FreeMyVunk: Join the movement

Speaker name:  R. Tyler Smith PhD

Speaker contact details:  rtylersmith@gmail.com

Presentation abstract:

The realization of a new $Trillion global asset class is on the brink of being unleashed.  Virtual objects trapped within their virtual game worlds constitute an enormous amount of stagnant resource.  Throughout history, technology and new infrastructure have repeatedly been responsible for accessing new resources.  Digital scarcity, enabled by issuing video game assets on the blockchain, is the missing link for unlocking their potential.  Our project is building tools/plugins which allow video game developers to easily deploy their in-game virtual assets on the blockchain.  We currently advise the very first project doing this, the digital tradable card game Spells of Genesis in production by EverdreamSoft.  The possibilities for commerce of virtual goods, items, assets, and in game privileges are only beginning to be imagined.  Ethereum smart contracts can be used for digital asset creation, online tournament regulation, trade escrow and even virtual item rentals. No longer will all the time, effort and investment in video games meet meaningless dead ends.  We are calling on gamers everywhere to join the movement, FreeMyVunk, my virtual junk.
